6 The New Career Model The new Career Model is based on externally recognized Digital Credentials - aka Open Badges. Open Badges combines an agile, progressive skills development experience with the rigor required to enable Professionals Milestones.

7 Example Certification Roadmap for Security
The Specialist Certification Roadmap shows the requirements for progression from L1 to L2 to L3. The Project Profiles are critical evidence of proficiency at each level. SME validation of the Project Profiles exists at all three levels. Design Principles: Specialty proficiency is completed within L1, L2, and L3 as needed Business Units have badge strategies that they are already implementing  Business as Usual Project Profile badges are owned by the Business Units and can be customized by focus area (sales, support, services) and specialty

Security CTP completes criteria for a Security badge Manager validates that the CTP has achieved the criteria for the badge Manager completes simple template / table to confirm that the badge has been validated and s it to the Task ID (WW IBM Security Career Model Task ID/UK/IBM) Contractor monitors Task ID, receives and acknowledges the completed template and adds this to a master spreadsheet On a weekly basis, contractor sends master list of badges achieved in that week to Kathy Security Open Badging Manager sends badge requests to acclaim Badge is issued to CTP
