Answers Interphase – The cell grows and makes a copy of its DNA.
Mitosis: Prophase – The chromatin condenses to form chromosomes. Mitosis: Metaphase – The chromosomes line-up across the center of the cell. Mitosis: Anaphase – The centromeres split and the chromatids move to opposite ends of the cell. Mitosis: Telophase – Two new nuclear envelopes form. Cytokinesis – The cytoplasm splits and two new daughter cells are formed.
