2 ORU, One Crown

3 …when you’re facing a mountain you need to be thankful that YOU of all people on earth have the opportunity to speak to this impossibility and say, “MOVE! GET OUT OF MY WAY!” It is in these times, however, that God flexes His muscles and shows you His might and empowers you with His Word to speak to the mountain – be it sickness, a financial crisis, an injustice that is staring you in the face like a Goliath telling you no-one can overpower him – and tell it to move and be thrown into the sea.  I believe that when you’re facing a mountain you need to be thankful that YOU of all people on earth have the opportunity to speak to this impossibility and say, “MOVE! GET OUT OF MY WAY!”

4 So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Romans 12:1-2 (The Message)

5 Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Romans 12:1-2 (The Message)

6 Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it
Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. Building Guilliam

7 There is never faith without risk

8 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
(2 Corinthians 5:7, NKJV)

9 “What is impossible with men is possible with God”(Luke 18:27)

10 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. Hebr 4:2 NKJV

11 Romans 3:3 (NASB95) What then? If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God, will it?

12 Unbelief will not nullify THE FAITHFULNESS of God!!

13 WHAT IS FAITH?

14 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebr 11:6 WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to please God. This faith is not a Facebook status or a sports star who points his finger to heaven or makes a gesture of prayer following a successful effort; and neither does this faith refer to a film star or presenter who ends a speech with the words ‘God bless you’. No, if you are serious about life, faith is about how you live.

17 Why Faith? University Testimony
• That year, there were 1,100 first-year students and a total of full-time students at the University. • The next year, there were 1,300 first-year students. • Then 1,800 first-year students. • This became 2,500 first-year students. • Soon there were 3,500 first-year students and in subsequent years the numbers would fluctuate between 3,500 – 5,500 first-year students. • The Potchefstroom Campus of the North-West University currently has more than 25,000 full-time students.

18 God’s kingdom also has a “currency” – and that currency is FAITH
God’s kingdom also has a “currency” – and that currency is FAITH. For me to live in God’s kingdom, or to experience eternal life, I have to believe.

19 God is not impressed by my ideas or achievements
God is not impressed by my ideas or achievements. However, when I demonstrate faith and trust in His greatness, God is impressed Every single day, we are flooded with information – most of which is negative.  It’s almost like drinking small doses of poison on a regular basis.  It might not affect you immediately, but eventually, it will poison your entire system.  Just think of everything you have to deal with on a daily basis. You may find yourself exhausted because of long distance traveling to work every day and being exposed to an endless stream of s, phone calls, text messages, noise, traffic, politics, radio, television, news reports, the neighbors’ barking dog, bills, responsibilities, deadlines, the seemingly endless list of things that need to be repaired around the house, whining children, and maybe even the pain of a broken relationship.

20 He is impressed when I believe that He exists, despite being unable to see into the future – and that He rewards those who seek Him.

21 ACTIVATE YOUR FAITH

22 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Rom 10:17 NKJV)

23 Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, and the years of your life will be many. (Proverbs 4:10 NKJV)

24 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves...James 1:22

31 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach) (Romans 10:8, NKJV)

32 Ex 14:13 (NKJV) And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid
Ex 14:13 (NKJV) And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” Erika’s Testimony: Faith is to plant the Word of God in your heart (to meditate on it), to believe that it is true, and to respond to it.  …Yes, God’s Word says that when you believe, so shall it be with you. David only had 5 small stones. Daniel held the key to the mouths of the lions. Joshua only needed to shout at the thick walls of Jericho, which crumbled at his command. Moses merely had to raise his staff, and the sea opened. Abraham was 100 years old when his son was born and the promise of his descendants was thus fulfilled. As for me? I will never again allow my baby to die as if I lacked a stone, a key, a voice, a staff or a promise...

33 A worldly perspective often makes us believe there is no future, but faith enables you to experience the future in the now. The world says, “Seeing is believing.” However, God says, “Believe and you will see” and it is when we believe that God TURNS THE IMPOSSIBLE INTO THE POSSIBLE!
