Writing software code to illustrate these attacks
Finding ways to detect these attacks and block them

By using free space in volume boot record (VBR)
By using bad clusters mechanism

There are many unused spaces in all file systems types. These spaces may be used to store data without user desire
These attacks are complicated to detect but still possible
