What Does “Local Control” Mean for the Jurupa Community?
Focused funding for students with greatest needs English learners, foster youth, and low-income students A broader definition of school success – School district or schools won’t be evaluated by test scores alone. LCFF requires schools to develop plans to improve student engagement, increase parent involvement, and create more positive learning environments on campus. More local control – School leaders and parents will have greater influence over spending and will have flexibility at the local level to create academic programs, services and budgets to meet the unique needs of students. Performance indicators – A new state performance criteria based on multiple measures by both achievement and growth. How presentation will benefit audience: Adult learners are more interested in a subject if they know how or why it is important to them. Presenter’s level of expertise in the subject: Briefly state your credentials in this area, or explain why participants should listen to you.

The California Model – Data Dashboards
The California Model combines Status and Change levels which result in a performance category (or color) for each of the state indicators. The model provides equal weight to both Status and Change. Status is based on current year performance. Change is the difference between prior year performance and current year performance.
