2. What is an SSO? Single Sign On
Students may login to numerous district applications by using one username
Students can now activate their own accounts and change their passwords
You can do this at school or at home

3. Why Have an SSO? Having an active SSO account will be required
Activating your account gives you access to:
Your Library and Textbook Account
District Gmail, including Google Docs and Google Drive
APEX
District Databases
Library ebooks

4. Why Have an SSO?
Information sent by the school and school groups through
College center news
Senior, Junior, Sophomore or Freshman class news
Alerts on special events
Information from your club

5. You will need 3 pieces of information to access your account:
1. Your 10 digit district ID (it’s the number on your ID card)
ex: M213
Your birthdate (ex: mm/dd/yyyy)
A four digit pin number provided by the district.
(The Librarian has a record of this and will give it to you.)
Your 6 digit birthday M for Male random numbers
F for Female

6. Click on the LAUSD
Student SSO link on the library website
Or go to ntAction.aspx?go=action_Student

7. Click on Activate My Account or Reset My Password

8. Read the Acceptable Use Agreement

9. Check the box at the bottom of the window and click “Accept”

10. Enter requested information, then click Submit

11. Create a password, following their password rules
Create a password, following their password rules. You will need to enter it twice. Click on submit. You will need to change your password once a year.

12. PROBLEMS
If you forget your password, you need to reset it yourself by going to the student SSO website, and select reset my password.
If you forgot your district ID or pin number, ask the Librarian.

13. You Can Now Use Email, Google Apps and Access Your Library Account
Access and Google Apps through the MyMail link on the library website.
Access your library account by clicking on the Library Catalog or Destiny Quest tabs on the library website.
It may take up to 24 hours for your account activation to take the affect.
