Validation and registration of a project: No project registered -> No CDM project activity yet; The first project is expected by the beginning of next year; Limitation of validation/registration activities expected because only activities which have been selected/used, under the accreditation procedure, for witnessing of the AE performing the functions of a DOE will be recognized if and when the AE is accredited by EB; Procedures on public availability of the CDM project design document (PDD) and for receiving comments as referred to in paras 40 (b) and (c) of the CDM modalities and procedures. CDM project cycle – Roles and responsibilities

Case of proposing a new methodology
Project participants (PP) to describe in Annexes 3 and 4 of PDD* a proposed new methodology (taking into consideration modalities, guidance by Board) PP to provide an example of the application of the proposed new methodology by filling a draft PDD; Role of DOE: check for completeness, including whether guidance regarding the filling of required documentation has been adhered to by PP; Procedure for submission and consideration of proposed new methodology. * “System” under revision watch the space

EB = executive board of the CDM DOE = designated operational entity (Any private or public body that has been accredited by EB and designated by COP/MOP) DNA = designated national authority for the CDM (The request for registration needs to include a written approval of voluntary participation by the DNA of each Party involved) CER = certified emission reductions M&P = Modalities and procedures of the CDM
