By the end of the implementation period for the ACEESD, the following key results have been achieved. Trained 120 Masters students (with 30% being regional and 20% female) Trained of 40 PhD students (with 30% being regional and 20% female) Established a state-of-the-art Micro-grids research laboratory for high impact research Over 15 collaboration and partnership MoUs signed with public, private and peer universities at the national, regional and international level 12 April, 2018 African Centre of Excellence in Energy for Sustainable Development (ACEESD)

Published a minimum of 60 internationally-peer-reviewed journal papers Obtain international accreditation for at least one new specialized graduate programs. Train 80 practitioners and policy-makers through short term courses, of which 30% would be regional and 30% female 12 April, 2018 African Centre of Excellence in Energy for Sustainable Development (ACEESD)

9 The ACE-ESD Current Status
Eight students have registered in different PhD programs (Renewable Energy Technologies and Electrical Power Systems) The development of new curricula for new Masters have started with the help of our regional and international partners The negotiation of partnership with Elsevier for international accreditation have started. One MoU signed with Colorado state University (CSU) Negotiation with CSU to transfer Micro-Grid Lab to UR/ACE-ESD 12 April, 2018 African Centre of Excellence in Energy for Sustainable Development (ACEESD)
