Phonics Phonics instruction is to help students decode words. In order for students to understand passages they first need to be able to decode words. Students need to start basic phonics skills and then advance to harder skills. Vowel sounds Constant sounds Long vowel sounds Digraphs Blends

Consonant blends are a collection of two or three different consonant sounds that are each heard when the word is pronounced Blends game Carl’s Corner
