2. OUR FOREST
Sweden is one of the world´s most forest rich countries if you consider the ratio between area and population.
Almost half of Sweden´s area is covered by forest.
The common trees are fir (42%) pine (39%) and birch ( 12% ).
Especially valuable nature is protected so it won´t be destroyed.

3. OUR FOREST.
The most common forest type in Scandinavia is the blueberry spruce, and it covers 17% of Sweden's area.
In spruce forest you can find plants that can survive without much sunlight because spruce trees are shading the ground.
Blueberry rice is usually seen in the spruce forest of this reason.
Even the moss is common, but it grows there because it is very damp in blueberry forest.

fields and in woodlands.
It blooms the whole
summer.

10. Bluebell,Campanula rotundifolia , Blåklocka
it grows in fields and open
meadow land where the sun
shines.
It blooms the whole summer.

11. Moor-king, Pedicularis sceptrum-carolinum, Kung Karls spira/lejongap
the flower that represents
our province in Sweden.
Grow in marshes and wet
fields.

12. Tufted vetch, Vicia cracca Kråkvicker. .
Grows in all types of ground
but mostly in open, sunny
places as hills and close to
woods.
Blooms the whole summer
It can get up to 1 meter in
height.
