What does Blended Learning look like in your Classroom?
Does every student have the same deadline? What part of the lesson is presented via digital and online media? What resources are you using? What are some of the things that are happening in your classroom. Is blended learning seen in your classroom everyday? Once a week? Once a month?

Digital divide Statistics showed that rural, young, minority and single-parent households lagged behind the national average in both computer ownership and Internet access . 1 2000 U.S. Census revealed that just 15 percent of homes with annual family income between $20,000 and $25,000 had home computer and among those Americans who made less than $25,000, 65 percent lacked internet access. As a result, no home computer and internet connectivity became the biggest problem for those low-income families.2 The majority of our students are on the wrong side of the digital divide. Most students either own or has a parent who owns a smart phone but they may not have a computer at home or internet access. This year our district has finished constructing 8 towers and will have a total of 13 when they are all completed that will hopefully provide internet access to all the students in our district. Over 90% of our students now have a district issued device to use at home and at school. The district is doing their part to help get our students over the divide but now we need to make sure we are doing our part. 1.National Center for Education Statistics. (2005). low-income students Research has shown that low-income students are less likely than affluent students to use their home computers for word processing, school assignments, and other standard software applications and more likely to use them for games3 Walk through the cafeteria during breakfast and lunch and the fact stated here is evident. The students will be on their devices playing games or watching videos on YouTube and not doing research or homework. Wilhelm, T., Carmen, D., & Reynolds, M (2002). Besides the slight dip in math which the district has already addressed the scores show that the students that are receiving personalized learning through technology are doing better
