Wind power station installation in the Shida Kartli Region Partners: Gori Municipality, the EBRD, the Ministry of Energy of Georgia The $34 million USD project; Annual output from planned 20 MW plant will be 68.3 GWh, which means usage of 39% of total installed capacity; The first Georgian wind power station would serve 10,000 families annually and will affect electricity tariffs too; პრიორიტეტები მოქალაქეთა ჩართულობა გამჭვირვალობა

Modernizing Tbilisi's public bus fleet Partners: Tbilsi Municipality; The EBRD The EBRD loan: 27 million Euros; Tbilisi will get modern low-floor buses by the end of 2016; Reduction of CO2 emissions.

5 EBRD activity in Georgia up to date
EBRD has invested over 2.8 billion in Georgia’s economy, of which over 37 per cent has been in energy; In addition to 312 million invested in renewable energy generation, the Bank has also invested over 210 million in transmission and distribution projects, which opened export markets for Georgia’s renewable energy and attracted private investors to the sector.

7 The Covenant of Mayors 12 Georgian cities have already signed the agreement and most of them have elaborated Sustainable Energy Action Plans; Tbilisi has joined the covenant in 2010 and has undertaken an obligation to transform the municipality into a “low carbon city” by 2020. Tbilisi has analyzed the City’s energy consumption data and elaborated ,,Sustainable Energy Action Plan’’. Tbilisi SEAP includes: Transport; Buildings; Infrastructure: municipal waste and waste water management treatment; street lighting; electricity and gas; green spaces; Etc;

8 Municipal Projects based on the SEAP
Solar-energy powered urban decorative constructions; Energy-efficient City Hall. involves equipping the south facade of the building by solar panels and maximizing usage of alternative energy. By the end of the project, energy expenditures of the building will decrease by 20-30%.

Energy-efficient Kindergartens; Energy-Efficient municipal public buildings; Reducing heat expenditures of apartment buildings
