-Is their claim specific enough? (Author’s purpose)
-Have they identified the proper device?
-Have they defined the device?
-Do they have at least 2-3 sentences of background information?
-Does their analysis tie to the meaning of the play as a whole?
-Do they have a concluding sentence that ties back to the claim?
Grammatical Issues. Check for:
-Spelling errors
-Contractions (change don’t to do not)
-Proper Punctuation (commas, apostrophes, periods)
-MLA Heading (Name, Heatherly, Freshman English, Date)
-Title
-Proper citing (II.ii. 4-5)
-Is their spacing correct? (Double space, indented first line)
