Website – each quarter's curriculum posted; spelling lists; projects/book reports, etc. Think Central – online access to HMH materials – COMING SOON! Classroom Expectations Small book homework weekly – parent signature required. Tests on Friday – corrections if below 70% AND signed by parent. Be prepared every day! regarding absences so work can be sent home if needed.

Classroom Expectations Math homework will be Monday – Thursday. (about 30 mins per night ) Tests are not set on any given day. There will be a Math Quiz every Friday for 5th and 6th grade, that covers bell work. Communication will be via and the agenda. Please read the handout “How to read the agenda.” Snacks. 5th grade 9:45 to 10 and 4th grade 10 to 10:15.

Testing Classroom Expectations We are Committed to: *Respecting everyone. *Keeping our words kind and clean. *Not bullying or gossiping. *Not judging others. *Completing our OWN assignments and tests. *Showing active listening to the speaker. HOMEWORK Thursdays - no timed tests Tests are NOT open book, but students will use Cornell notes. Students are tested on: Spelling, Grammar, Reading Comprehension and a Written Response. Novels this year are: *Freedom Walkers (after lesson 10) *A Wrinkle in Time (after lesson 20) Consists of unfinished classwork, and review assignments of concepts already I’ve already taught. Reading at home will be at least 60 minutes per week, including one book share per quarter.
