Teaching Tips: Demonstrate things you want students to do or say;Use body language and visual aids; Simplify your sentences and lower your talking speed; Encourage students to speak out key vocabulary words and repeat simple sentence; Frequently give students rewards and encouragements. B Level 5-7 1) Familiar with the alphabet and some simple nouns and verbs. 2) Familiar with some simple sentence structures like: I can__ ; I go to __; I see__; 3) Could use a mouse but couldn’t draw well with it. 4) Could focus on things they are interested in for a relatively longer time but are still easily distracted by things. 5) Developing a correct reading order but need to point at individual words while reading. Teaching Tips: Talk at a lower speed and encourage students to talk in full sentence ; Give students simple tasks to accompalish; Demonstrate a lot with high energy. D Level 7-8 1) Familiar with most of high frequency words in Kintergarten and are able to make few long sentences with these HFW. (For example: I see a bird fly in the sky; I can go to school by bus ; My favorite sport is basketball). 2) Have mastered lots of basic and useful vocabulary words. 3) Are able to have simple conversations with teachers but constantly make grammar mistakes. 4) Could handle a mouse well. Teaching Tips: Try to use some smart words while talking but demonstrate a lot when they couldn’t understand; Gve students opportunities to compete with each other in a friendly environment; Correct necessary grammar mistakes. G Level 8-10 1) Have grasped a large amount of vocabulary and are able to talk in full sentences. 2) Have learnt some easy grammars like past tense. 3) Make a lot of grammar mistakes Teaching Tips: Focus more on comprehension skills and strategies while teaching; Have real conversations with students; Correct their grammar mistakes; Talk at a normal speed
