outside of their personal experience. Boy oh boy! Who knew bridges could look so fancy! And I thought our wood plank bridge was top shelf! I guess I need to get out more.

Anneliese Mathia, a student at Alpena High School, has won the 2014 Congressional Art Competition in the First District. Mathia’s artwork will be displayed at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC, for one year. Washed Ashore. Angela Haseltine Pozzi is an artist and educator who founded the Washed Ashore Project. The project is aimed at educating people about the huge amount of plastic debris that’s found within our ocean and waterways. SeaWorld Parks uses the sculptures of sea life such as fishes and turtles, made out of recycled marine debris, to create public awareness. (Image Source:washedashore.org)
