13. When you come up to someone you have never talked to before, you may politely introduce yourself and simply ask them who they are to start the conversation.

Sometimes, asking questions is also a good way to start a conversation. You may ask information (訊息) or for help.

15. Notice: Not everyone feels comfortable about personal questions unless you are close friends. It’s better to begin personal questions with:
If you don’t mind me/my asking….
