3. How then shall we live?
Matthew 24:33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that He is near, at the very gates.
We need to be watching and waiting.

4. Heed the Warning Signs Luke 17:22-34; 21:8-36
Deception: False Prophets/Teaching
Disasters: Wars, revolts, plagues, earthquakes, famines …
Distress: Great Persecution and Martyrdom
Depravity: Immorality/Complacency

5. Heed the Warning Signs Deception – Do not go after them! (Lk 21:8)
Do not believe them! (Mt. 24:23-26)
Do not be surprised! (2.Thes 2:3; 1.Tim 4:1-2)
He will succeed in deceiving even the elect. He may even use our own theology to trick us.

6. Heed the Warning Signs Disasters – (Rev. 6-18)
Do not be terrified (Lk 21:9)
Do not be surprised! (Mt 24:6-8)
Do not grow faint! (Lk 21:25-28)
On the practical side are we ready for an economic meltdown.

7. Heed the Warning Signs Distress– (Dan. 12:1; Rev. 6:9)
Do not be surprised! (Mt 24:9-11)
Do not grow cold! (Mt 24:12)
Do not give up! (Mt 24:13; Lk 21:19)
Do not miss the opportunity! (Mt 24:14; Lk 21:13)
The last two centuries of Christianity in America have been an exception to the rule. Persecution is and has always been the norm for the church.

8. Heed the Warning Signs Depravity –
Do not get caught up in it! (Lk 17:26-33, 2.Tim 3:1-5)
Do not get weighted down! (Lk 21:34-36; 2.Pet 3:10-13)
Do not be caught off guard! (Rom 13:11-14; 1.Thes 5:3-8)
Are we ready for the moral meltdown. We will need to take a stand.

9. Invest in God’s Kingdom
Matthew 24:21 His master said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master. (See: Heb. 11:8-16)
Democracy is not the cure-all for humanity – Phil 3:20

10. Be about God’s business
Matthew 24:42 Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.
Matthew 24:46 Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.
If we are hoping for a nice comfortable retirement we may be in for a rude awakening.

11. Shine as never before!
Daniel 12:3 And those who are wise (have insight) shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

12. Carpe Diem!
Daniel 12:10 Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.

The Gospel will reach to all peoples.

13. Hold on to the Promises
Jude Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the pre-sence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
