OC WOMEN’S HEALTH PROJECT
Founded 2011 to address the lack of coordination around women’s health in OC Mission is to advance women’s health in Orange County Education Collaboration Advocacy

TEEN REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH TASK FORCE
Launched 2013 with Planned Parenthood OSBC Address disparities in Teen Birth Rate w/in OC Reduce STIs across OC Includes 2 dozen stakeholder organizations County Agencies, CBOs, Health Care, Academia Policy Brief: Explanation of Need – TBR Disparities, STIs Increase Policy Recommendations

TRH POLICY RECOMMENDATIONS
Ensure Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) and Sexual Health (SH) programs for youth in OC are culturally competent and use gender lens Integrate TPP and SH into delivery of basic needs and services for high-risk youth in OC Promote sexual health literacy among parents/adults that work with youth in OC Understand sexual risk behaviors among youth in OC

Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE) Direct Training for educators and other adults that work with youth Technical Assistance Costs 7 CSE Providers in Orange County - Handout 5 non-profit providers 2 for-profit providers CSE Provider Meeting 9/23/16 Step Therapy – requiring patient to start with least expensive/invasive (condoms, pill) before authorizing LARC Tiering – certain brand drugs not on covered formulary Only covering pill but not patch because both hormonal even though different delivery systems
