You Grow-They Grow Growing instructions Sweet Peppers
You will need: A pot Compost Sweet pepper seeds Water and watering can Plastic bag Fill your pot to the top with compost. Pat the compost down gently. 2. Take 2-3 of the sweet pepper seeds and place them on the surface of the compost, spaced apart. Press the seeds gently a little way down into the top of the compost. Don’t push the seeds too far into the compost as sweet pepper seeds germinate best when they are around 0.5 cm from the surface. Make sure the seeds are covered over with compost. Water your pot well with water from your watering can. Place your pot inside your plastic bag. Leave your pot in a warm, light position, like a window sill. 3. Keep an eye on your pot and water if it feels dry. Don’t over water your pot though. Your seedlings should start to appear after 7-14 days. Once your seedlings appear, you can remove the plastic bag. 4. Take your seedlings home to nurture or care for them at school. If you are taking your seedlings home, carry the pot in the plastic bag to prevent it being damaged. Once the seedlings have grown a little, remove the weaker seedlings leaving the strongest in the pot. If you are able to, you could re-pot these weaker seedling at home. Water occasionally, making sure the compost doesn’t become too dry. Monitor the grow of your plant using your tape measure and growth diary.
