1 Mini Relay Instructions
McDonald's 25 W Hibiscus Blvd., Melbourne, FL Saturday, March 5, AM to 3PM MINI RELAY MINI RELAY What is a Mini Relay? Mini Relay is the Relay event without the track, food or survivors.  We’ll have fun, games and entertainment.  Teams come out and fundraise by selling stuff (plants, stuffed animals, jewelry, games, face painting, etc).  NOTE: VERY IMPORTANT -  teams cannot sell food or drinks since we are encouraging people to eat at McDonalds. ** Our Mini Relay will be set up in the back parking Lot at McDonald's. Mini Relay Instructions Teams and participants need to be most respectable of McDonald’s and know that this is their event, not ours.  We are their guests and there at their request. Parking, food and staying until the event is over is non-negotiable. While working in the restaurant, you must wear closed toe shoes. No short shorts allowed. Jeans and a relay shirt preferred. Your team should plan to complete your setup from 8:00-8:45 (Set up must be completed before 9:00). After you have set up, park your cars in the Harris parking lot across street so we can keep all spaces close to McDonald’s for the customers. (No exception, make sure all your team members are aware, do not use McDonald’s parking). Bring your own shade / tables / chairs / tape / rope … anything else you might need. Bring something to use as anchors for your shade. Water jugs tied to the corners work really well. We wouldn’t want a breeze to kick up and take out an EZ-up. DO NOT BRING FOOD OR DRINK FROM OTHER ESTABLISHMENTS!! Be respectful of McDonald’s and if you are hungry buy something from McDonald’s. Remember McDonald’s will donate a percentage of the day’s profit to our Relay. If your team is unable to attend for any reason, please contact Angela so we will not hold a spot for you and if needed get someone to cover inside and/or at the bucket drop Check-in with Angela when you arrive at McDonald’s and before you leave so we can get your totals for the day. (NO BREAKDOWN PRIOR TO 3 pm) Thank you!! For more information please visit: or contact: Angela Warwick at Team Fundraising Each team will have an area in the back parking lot that they can set up a table and fundraise. Some fundraising ideas for your team: plant sale (plant some seeds now and sell the seedlings at the Mini Relay), arts and craft items, Mary Kay, Avon, Thirty-one, raffle, stuffed animals, jewelry, games, face painting, etc. Contact Angela Warwick at to sign up your team fundraisers. Bucket Drop/Bussing Tables At the Mini Relay, two people from each team will work a 1.5 hour shift at the bucket drop in the drive thru as well as busing tables inside the McDonalds.  McDonalds will donate a percentage of that day’s profit to our Relay.  These totals will be divided evenly amongst the teams participating however each team will keep whatever is raised at their table. ** The McDonald's manager, will be meeting with all team captains at 8:45AM on the morning of the Mini Relay to go over bucket drop and table busing instructions. Contact Angela Warwick at to sign up your team for a shift.
