Who Needs to File? Positions designated in the Lottery’s Conflict of Interest Code or Government Code § 87200 Category I: Broad Reporting Requirement Includes Commissioners, Director, Division Directors, Attorneys, Exempt Appointments, certain CEA and Manager Assignments, Consultants Category II: Limited Reporting Requirement Includes certain Supervisors and Employees

Total number of filers- 301 Number of Government Code filers- 6 Number of Category I filers- 22 Number of Category 2 filers- 273

Filing Deadlines Within 30 days of assuming your position
Annually thereafter Commissioners and Director are submitted by March 1 Other Lottery employees due by April 1 Within 30 days of leaving your position Amendments: Due as soon as possible upon discovering errors or omissions Only required to amend the schedule that needs to be revised

Filing Process and Records Retention
Submit Form 700 to the Lottery’s Legal Department--retained for 7 years Legal Department reviews for completeness; does not review for veracity Legal Department forwards to FPPC original Form 700s for each Commissioner and the Director; Legal Department keeps a copy All other originals are kept at the Lottery
