2. Collaboration partners
Finland Somalia Association is a friendship association promoting good relations between Somalia and Finland.
Finnpartnership is a Finnish institution providing services to help Finnish companies develop business partnerships.
TALO Initiatives is a consultant and development company active in Somalia.
VTT is a leading technology institution in Finland supporting research, development and innovation.
Somali Private Sector Alliance is a leading umbrella business body in Somalia working to promote investment and economic growth in Somalia.

3. This Matchmaking key purposes
To be a follow up event to the first Matchmaking event arranged for Finnish and Somali companies on
To facilitate companies from Finland and Somalia to meet either face-to-face or through representation.
To share information and updates related to business possibilities and opportunities from both sides.
To continue discussions related to the importance of creating Finnish Somali Business Council to promote business ties in the future.

4. Key objectives To cover latest business and civil updates on Somalia.
To cover and discuss sectors that hold potential business opportunities for Finnish companies.
During the matchmaking, to facilitate Finnish and Somali companies meeting and exchanging information. (means of workshops and presentations)
To be able to create Finnish Somali Business Council and name the first founding companies from both sides.
To answer questions related on Somalia business, security and political developments.

5. Business Opportunities of Somalia
Somalia security and state building is improving for the last 5 years. In there was a political reforms resulted a new parliament, president, prime minister and government.
Somalia’s political situation was improving very positively in recent years and for ones looking business investments and opportunities, we believe it is the right time now to act and not to wait before its too late.
Somalia offers some of the best investment opportunities in Africa for various sectors including energy, fishing, construction, education, finance and agriculture.
First Come First Served – this suits well on Somalia business competition. Opportunities and risks exist but they are very manageable as Finnish- Somali experts are available to help Finnish companies in Finland and in Somalia.

6. Business & Investment Possibilities of Finland
Finland is front runner in the world when it comes to technology and education.
Finland offers also to Finnish companies services that promote investments and partnering.
Finnish financial instituations also offer investments to foreign companies with some requirements to fill.
Some revelent points for investment are good reputation, profitable market, relevent business case for the investment, have 50% of the investment, while could loan the rest.

7. Finnpartership Matchmaking Service Registration
Somali companies interested to get partners and investments from Finland are recommended to register their businesses to Finnpartnership website for Matchmaking service.
The registration is free of charge and makes easy to your business to be visible to Finnish companies. Its also higly recommended to do it for partnering with Finnish companies.

Somali companies are requested to deliver the following information for registration.

Company short presentation (sector, information you want to share with Finnish companies for investment and partnering max 6 slides/company)
Participant contact information name, and telephone etc. One participant is expected from each company participating.
