A Message From Your PTSA Presidents
Welcome Back!
The PTSA is excited for another great year at Stillwater. We have 18 board members ready to do their best to help enhance the learning experience of all Stillwater Hawks. Last year was a record breaking year for fundraising and subsequently giving back to Stillwater (have you seen the updates on the playground?), and we are looking to carry that momentum into this year.
We are planning some fun and new events this year but ALL events depend on volunteers. Please look for our volunteer form and see how you can help. A change we are making this year, events that don’t have volunteer needs fulfilled by Oct 19th are subject to cancellation.
Dates, times, and details can change so it’s important to stay connected to what’s going on at Stillwater, but don’t worry, we make it easy with many different ways to stay informed!

Don’t forget those Box Tops or Labels for Education! Any that you collect can be placed in a baggy with your child's name, teacher and grade and then put in the bin by the front office. The top classes from Sept-May will be rewarded each month with a treat. The class that accumulates the most by the end of the year wins a Cotton Candy Party!

Back by popular demand, popcorn days are here!
Tuck those quarters in your child’s backpack and get ready. The kids will be able to enjoy popcorn Wednesday the first Wed. of every month starting in October! The cost is
25 cents and will be
available at last recess.

How can I volunteer?
•New volunteer forms can be found on our website at or a hard copy can be picked up at the PTSA bulletin board in the school hallway.
•All forms need to be submitted, by October 19, 2016, so we can compile a master list of volunteers and their interests. Forms can be dropped off at the school’s main office or ed to the PTSA Vice President at
•Reminder: All volunteers must go through the district screening process for the safety of students and volunteers alike. Go here to get setup:
•NEW: This school year we will be having a “Volunteer of the Month” who will be featured in the PTSA newsletter, Facebook page and school bulletin board. Please find the nomination form on our website or pick one up from the bulletin board.
•We encourage each PTSA member to volunteer for at least one activity or event each year.

Reduced cost! The cost to become a Stillwater PTSA member for the 2016/17 school year is only $12 per individual or $20 per household (2 adults). We hope that these lower prices make PTSA Membership affordable for every Stillwater family.
No volunteering or time commitment required! PTSA membership and volunteering are completely separate. Volunteering is 100% optional.
Shows your support! Joining the Stillwater PTSA says, "I see value in Stillwater faculty and Stillwater families working together to make Stillwater the best school it can be."

Calling Art Docent Volunteers
The art docent program is a valuable resource at Stillwater, it brings art lessons to all classrooms. But we need volunteers to make it happen: supplies, lesson plans and training provided. Please Lisa at if you are interested in volunteering for your child's class.
