Career Paths at U-M: How to Maximize Your Use of the Career Path Navigator Career Path: a chosen pursuit; a profession or occupation; the general course or progression of one’s working life or one’s professional achievements Source: The American Heritage dictionary of The English Language, Third Edition Career Path Navigator: A U-M tool designed for use as a general guide to assist job seekers in their personal career planning. It will show how current positions relate to other market titles in the Career Family Classification System. The site allows review and comparison of positions and even career changes, as well as the ability to see what actual market title moves have been made by staff members. This tool references common qualifications from the labor market for a position.
