Enhanced loading range for Basaltic Rocks -1 MN Pressure Vessel to emulate Laboratory confining pressure – 50 MPa Confining Pressure Intensifier – 50 MPa Pore Fluid Intensifier/Separator – 20 MPa Protected Displacement Transducers Enhanced Load Cell to measure up to 1 MN Ultrasonic Transducers assembly to measure micro-siesmicity with the sample Conditioning and control electronics housing

New developments on the 400MPa Rock Physics Ensemble
New leadthroughs allow an extra 16 differential transducers to be used on the specimen assembly New jacket allows up to 12 new AE transducer assemblies and 6 electrodes New permeameter with full digital control facilities to improve and increase pore fluid control capabilities

Testing Programme – Creep 2 Prototype Cell
Primary tests without AE on Darley Dale Sandstone (DDS) to evaluation purposes – Data available Secondary tests with AE and repeating a previous test carried out on the Rock Physics Ensemble – Data available for testing of data transfer rate requirements etc.
