About Other Contributions
When we announced that this Annual Budget Drive was looking weak, 4 of our donors raised their pledges while 5 others chose to make one-time gifts to this year’s Drive. The commitments are included in “Commitment Income.” The one-time gifts are not.
18
About that Community Plate
The Community Plate is being returned to a one-per-month collection. Right now we donate about $30,000 per year. In , we project this change will result in an annual donation of $10,000 and funds to UUCA of about $10,000.

We kept our UUA GIFT at 4% (UUA prefers 7%)
We held Professional Expenses at 6% of salary (UUA recommends 10%)
23
We dropped Personnel Expenses $59,000 by:
Laying off Jules Smith, Communications Specialist Laying off our bookkeeping assistant (10 hours) Losing 10 hours of time of Kim Collins (LRE Coord) Losing 10 hours of time of Linda Topp (Dir Admin)

We changed the Community Plate collection to once a month.
We suspended an annual $4,000 transfer towards getting a full-fledged audit someday. No senior staff members got raises, continuing to fall further behind UUA guidelines.
25
Fair Share Giving Is Important!
It provides a range of practical gift levels for the individual or household making a new pledge to consider. It serves as a social justice tool, in that it recognizes people have varying capacities to give, based on their resources and other financial responsibilities, while providing recognition for giving at various levels.
