This tutorial shows you the steps you’ll take to generate a Quote using Assurant’s Individual Medical Software. These steps include how to:
Log into our IEZ Quote System
Download Assurant’s Individual Medical Proposal software
Configure the Proposal software with your agency and agent profile information
Enter the client’s information and select plan options
Print the proposal for delivery or save it as a PDF for ing
Upload the Quote to Assurant’s Web site
Begin the submission process of sending the client’s information to underwriting.

3. Preview…
There are two different ways you can get Assurant’s Individual Medical (IM) Proposal software:
Through SBGI’s IEZ Quote System.
After you’ve been appointed with Assurant, through a link on their Web site.
First we’ll show you how to access Assurant’s Individual Medical (IM) Proposal software through SBGI’s IEZ Quote System
Then later in this series of tutorials, we’ll show you how to access it through their Web site aft you’ve been appointed with Assurant.

4. First Log into IEZ Quote…
The URL to launch is
Enter the Username and Password supplied by your managing agent
If you’ve forgotten what they are, click on the Forgot your username or password? link and enter the your managing agent put in the system. Both the username and password will be sent to you.

5. Execute the “Software/Mobile Office Updates” link…
Click on the link “Software/Mobile Office Updates” in the Navigator (yellow background).

6. Find “Button 4: Time Individual Medical”…
Under the Software Menu Updates section, you’ll find the link “Button 4: Time Individual Medical”:
Right click on the link and select the command “Save Target As…”

7. Software Download…
This will launch the Save As dialogue box, pictured to the right.
Save in: Desktop
Don’t change the file name
You might be tempted to Run the file, but at 54Mb, it is safer to download and install the file from your Desktop
Downloading takes up to 10 minutes depending on the speed of your Internet connection.

8. Install the Individual Medical software by clicking on file imsetupmga
Install the Individual Medical software by clicking on file imsetupmga.exe…
Double click on the downloaded file and the Open File – Security Warning screen will appear:
Click the Run button.
Continue through the procedure until it finishes.
After installing, you should see this icon on your desktop:
All your data is kept in a database that is preserved through each successive install, which Assurant usually does quarterly to adjust rates and introduce new products.

9. Launch the Individual Medical…
Launch the software by clicking on the icon for Assurant’s Individual Medical proposal software ( )
First, execute two commands found in the “Tools” menu, namely the “Agency Data…” and the “Agent Profile(s)..” procedures to set up your software

10. Entering Agency Data…
Enter information regarding your agency into the Agency Data screen shown to the right:
Save your information by clicking on the Save button on the lower right
Close the dialogue box with the Close button on the lower right.

11. Entering Agent Profile information…
Enter your agent information with the Agent Profile(s) screen shown to the right:
Click New and the Agent Profile form below appears to enter your agent information; save using the Save button
Close the dialogue box with the Close button on the lower right.

12. Generate an Individual Medical Proposal …
The first tab is the Plan Options
Enter your client’s Demographics starting with
ZIP Code,
Gender,
Date of Birth (or Age)
Number of children,
Spouse (if the spouse is applying also),
and so forth
Note: Move from field to field with your Tab key, not the mouse!

13. Generate an Individual Medical Proposal …
The next section lets you compare plans with menus for the
Plan Option
Deductible
Coinsurance
Lifetime Max
HSA Option,
Network Plan,
Payment Frequency
and so forth

14. Using the Client Information tab…
Click on the Client Information tab to the right of the Plan Options tab:
Enter the First, MI and Last Names
Enter all the Address fields
Enter a comment along with phone number and
Note the Existing Client option to select a prior entry.

15. Save the Quote…
After you’re satisfied with the Client Information data and Plan Options, you should Save the Quote:
Simply click on the “Save Quote…” button
(The “Save” command is also found in the File menu at the top)

16. 1) Printing (Saving) the Proposal as a PDF using the File menu…
There are two ways to “print” your proposal:
1) Click on the Print command from the File menu and the Print Manager will appear:
Check “Select All” for a complete report or check specific parts as needed:
Note the option to “Save for ing”, which generates a PDF file you can save and send as an attachment to your client.

17. 2) Printing a Hard Copy of the Proposal…
To make a paper/hard copy of the proposal, click on the Print command from the File menu and the Print Manager will appear:
Check “Select All” for a complete report or check specific parts
Clicking Print will launch the print manager screen for your printer.

18. Upload your Quote to Assurant’s Web site…
