The Trust presentation

2 Good Evening. I’m Tony Smith project manager and speaking on behalf of the Trust
The Trust and County have been asked to cover the following: Timetable for opening Planning Application Highways Issues Admissions Arrangements Temporary Buildings logistics Interaction between the 3 current schools and the new school Conditionality of the land purchase Facilities Parents Forum and how parents can support the application

3 Timetable and temporary Building Logistics
The EFA timeline will not allow temporary accommodation on the permanent site with full planning permission in time for Sept 2017 A timeline with Key Milestones has been circulated. As with all planning, there remains a risk that approval will not be achieved in time for Sept 18 opening Planning should be achievable by May 2017 with an 18 month build starting in July Completion Jan 2019

4 Planning The EFA have advised us that the planning route will be Route 3 A full public consultation process will occur and the decision making process will be held in public

5 Highways We care informed by the EFA and county that highway alterations are required Our part is to generate a sensible and workable Travel Plan to promote sustainable modes of transport We will communicate with all prospective parents to identify and develop environmentally friendly and sustainable methods of transport.

6 Admissions The proposed admissions policy is in line with county standards. We will be a co-educational all ability school for year olds with a published admissions number of 180 Please see MOVING ON in HCC admissions literature Section 10 public consultation will allow you to voice your opinions on this

7 Schools working together
Specialist areas and communal areas should be complete by Sept 18 Cooperation with existing schools is a viable option Clubs and after school activities will be shared with the existing secondary schools and we would also bring in older students to run some after school clubs on the new school site Joint inset and professional development for staff will be available as the new school joins the existing 3 school continued professional development for staff structure If required, until our fields and sports centre are ready, we will share fields and sports facilities with other local schools

8 Facilities The final building will be a marriage of budget and design
We have a voice and input Discussions about our ‘wishlist’ are underway with the EFA The finished school will be fully equipped, have facilities to support a broad curriculum and champion functional design solutions eg. art rooms with lots of natural light

9 Parent Forum We will communicate more frequently
We have a multi skilled governing body, marketing and curriculum sub committees, have already submitted 24 policies for consideration by the appointed Education Advisor and we are about to relaunch our website. Section 10 consultation will begin next year Please ensure we have your address
