1 Chapter 10 10.1 and 10.2 Presentation views and outputs
Creating/Editing Presentation

2 Visual Aids This is the main purpose of presentation software!
Old examples are chalkboard, handouts, etc. Using Powerpoint (which is THIS) is a great way to share ideas. What are some other ways to present information???

3 Some other examples Giving a speech Writing a report
Creating a photo essay Creating a time line

4 Power Point Users can create slides and handouts.
You can create a lot of different backgrounds and layouts. There are a lot of different ways to view your presentation… such as…

5 Types of Views… Black and white view - This allows you to preview how the slide will look if printed with a blank ink printer (it will show you if something will end up being too dark!) Master View - A master slide is a default template that is applied to all slides of a certain type. Miniature View - See slides in miniature size as you scroll through the presentation.

6 Consider the Output To change your printer output, you need to go to page set up. If you do nothing, it will print on full page sheets. You can change the output to print a bunch of different slides on one page.

7 Creating/ Editing Presentations
You can use a blank presenttion to create an original set of slides. Or you can use a template. A template is a ready to use layout. You just pop in your info. It is easy to do and can be switched up so easily.

8 Layouts There are a lot of different layouts to choose from.
You need to pick the best one for your needs. Use images one for images, text ones for text!!

9 Editing your presentation
Good presentations edit drafts of their work. Checking Spelling Errors: It is easy to check spelling errors. They are underlined just like in Word. Inserting images - Text only presentations can be dull. Add pictures and charts. Transition and Timing - special effects and rehearsed timings can be added.
