Mole Rules The chemical formula represents a mole of that substance.
One mole of any substance contains 6.02 E 23 particles. The formula mass, expressed in grams, represents the mass of one mole of that substance. One mole of any gas, at STP conditions, occupies litres of volume. 2

IV. One mole of any gas, at STP conditions, occupies 22.4 litres of volume. The volume of a gas is usually measured at STP (standard temp. and pressure). Standard temp is O°C Standard pressure is 101 kPa At STP, 1 mole of any gas occupies a volume of 22.4L. This is known as the molar volume of a gas. Therefore, the conversion factor looks like this: 1 mole = 22.4L
