2. What Is Globaloria?
Globaloria is about mainly making a video game. You work in Flash and you have to enter many codes to make certain things happen. The 7th grade globaloria class has to do a game based on math and about helping a social issue. My social issue is about saving water and the math is based on PEMDAS which is the order of operations. You have to blog about what you are doing about three to four times a week. The Board of Education will be looking at that so it’s important to post many blogs. We also have to have s on google so that your whole class can notify each other on how to do certain things. It’s not an easy class, but it can be fun, because you will have Ms. Sheppard.

3. Flash
Flash is where you make your video games. There are different tools that are important with making something happen. You will use every tool. The first day when our class used Flash, it was frustrating. There are different layers where you enter different codes or another picture or object. You can’t enter every single detail into one layer. You have to add an actions layer which is where you put all of your codes, the labels layer is where you make a button link to a different page like when you press start it will go to the next page, the main layer is where you will have every layer work together to show you what the main page will look like.

4. Wiki
Your wiki is where you show all of your progress in what you have done when it comes to making your game. It also shows examples of other games made by other kids. You can play them or you can usually look at the coding so you can make your game do the same thing. You have a learning log where you put what you are going to do that day, how long, and when. The Board of Education will be looking at your learning log a lot. If you are in a different class and your on the computer in free time when you are finished with your work, it’s good to work on globaloria, you can post on your learning log what you are doing. You are supposed to get in between five to six hours of globaloria a week and you must show it on your learning log, so you will have to work at home sometimes. You have your own page where it is your personal page. You can add anything you want like cool pictures or videos as long as it is school appropriate, but you also have to add your games.

You make an on google.com so you can get notifications on who comments on your blog, wiki updates, and new globaloria information. You can talk or chat with other members in globaloria also. Only globaloria members can go on your and blog. If you brag that you have these special privilages than they will be lost though. You also communicate with other people throughout the state. There are other people doing the same stuff as us and if one school needs help we can all communicate.

6. Blog
Blogging is where you show everyone what you are doing and all your troubles with the coding in your video game. If you post a blog on something you are having trouble with, then everyone can see it and most likely people will comment on that blog and explain what is wrong with the game. Blogging is another special privilege for the globaloria members. You can add pictures, links, and videos. Your blog is yours, you can personalize it by putting polls like whose going to win the super bowl or something like that. You can add your own profile picture. You are supposed to blog three to four times a week at minimum. You can blog on weekends and you can access everything that you do ONLY on the internet, you probably can’t work on flash on home unless you have that on your computer. Some people in globaloria are so caught up in your game that they forgot to blog that week. Blogging is a grade and you can communicate with other schools through blogging.
