Purpose Inform members of USMAP Program and implications at separation/retirement Formal military training program that provides Active Duty and FTS opportunity to improve job skills and complete civilian apprenticeship requirements while on Active Duty

Facts 124 registered occupations Over 85,000 active apprenticeships
Apprenticeship ranges from 2,000-8,000 hours You have to have enough time on contract to finish Credit for civilian apprenticeships 1 trade at a time Change trades

Facts (CONT) Cancelled after 18 months with no report
You can apply to be re-instated Cancel your trade Suspend your trade- VOLED Assistance Center request- state reason why No off duty requirements Need supervisor comments over 8 hours in a day

Process Select a trade- primary duty Enroll
Online or paper registration Work and record hours Weekly logs- WCS/LPO/LCPO Monthly Logs- LCPO/DIVO Semi annual report- CO or by direction USMAPS will send certificate to address on file Maintain all logs for future employers
