2 Sing! Karaoke from Smule
Smule is a mobile app company created in San Francisco in 2008 by entrepreneur Jeff Smith and Stanford assistant professor Ge Wang. The app is for social music-making (collaborating). Originally it was mostly just a karaoke app, for Apple phones and tablets, but it has developed into more. They have many apps, but the most popular one is Sing! Karaoke, created in 2012 Sing! Karaoke is an app on your phone or tablet that lets you sing and record yourself with a karaoke song. Like most apps, it has multiple purposes; it's not just for singing but for social media as well.

3 The Sing! Karaoke app is a free download (with 7 day trial) for either iOS or Android with ads. They have just a few free songs. You can pay $3 a month/$24 a year to get a subscription (to get more songs and features) as a VIP member, or $4 a month/$40 per year for All Access.

5 Many Song Choices When you open Sing! Karaoke, you see the list of songs. They have various categories, such as Top Hits, Community, New, Free, Sing with the Artist, Pop, R&B, Rock, Hip Hop and many more. You can then choose if you want to share it with your friends on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, texting, or via . You can hear your songs online You can listen to others' songs– both on PC’s or Mac’s.

8 Choices in Sing! Karaoke

9 SMULE is always adding new features
In 2014, they added video (iPhone/iPad only) Funny 2015 video to explain why there's no video yet on Android A month later, they added video on Android They've added many different features over the years such as an Explore Song (featured video song), contests, messaging, and more VocalFX. They've also improved the quality of the app, its streaming and how well it works. This is a global app; there are many songs and users from around the world.

10 Sing! Karaoke Vs. Other Sites and Apps
There are many karaoke websites and apps. You can find karaoke songs on Youtube or you can record yourself using those songs or from other karaoke sites. Probably the best of the online karaoke sites is SingSnap. However, Singsnap has to pay for the royalties to their songs, so it limits the songs they have. There are many karaoke apps online. I used another one before Sing! Karaoke called KaraokeAnywhere. Smule distinguishes itself from other apps and sites in that it lets users upload their own karaoke backings and then other people can use them. You can vote up or down on whether it's a good backing. This feature means potentially unlimited songs, including many that are unavailable in traditional karaoke formats.

11 Sing! Karaoke Is Fun and Popular
The app is practical for anyone who likes to sing/listen to singing, or wants to meet other people online who sing. Sing! Karaoke by Smule gets 4 out of 5 stars on Google Play. It gets 4 1/2 out of 5 stars on iTunes.

12 Pros and Cons PROS Fun app Fairly easy to use
Many songs, including rare karaoke tracks Not too expensive Multi-platform Collaboration Social Network Sing/record/save/share Always adding/improving features Global CONS Not free Only works on phones and tablets A little confusing at times Some user-created songs have no background singers Smule website lacks information Might run into copyright problems
