EXTENSION OF COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT
TENTATIVE LOCAL AND CENTRAL AGREEMENT to AUGUST 31ST , 2019

OSBCC Leadership Meeting January 7 – Toronto
On October 23rd, 2016 the leadership of locals across the province passed the following motion: I move that we give the OSBCC a mandate to explore extension talks with the government which are to conclude by December 31st 2016, on the understanding the results will be brought back to the leadership. If the leadership decides to recommend the results of discussions, it would then be brought back to the membership for a vote.

The following agreements still requires approval from legislation
Extension Agreement Term Sept 1, 2017 until August 31, 2019 Local collective agreement stay status quo for this period Ratification conditional upon legislative changes, if changes are NOT made this contract is void The following agreements still requires approval from legislation

Date of Ratification Parties will endeavor to complete ratification of Extension by February 1st, 2017. We still have two bargaining units who have not completed local bargaining but have upcoming bargaining dates scheduled. Point 2 clarifies that they would need to ratify both the local agreement (once completed) and the Extension as agreement separate votes.

DATE OF CHANGE CONFIRMES LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
LOU No. 3 Job Security Protected Complement will be extended until August 31, 2019 LOU No. 5 Scheduled unpaid leave plan will be extended until August 31, 2019 Lou No. 16 Additional Professional Activity Day will be extended to incorporate the and school year.

DATE OF CHANGE CONFIRMES LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
All other letter of understanding from CAs continue in force and effect both local and central. Where there are expiry dates, they will be extended by two year.

Translation into French
Documents to be translated prior to ratification, in order for both parties to ratify in their language.

Two Part Continue for CAs
Part A - central and Part B - local without amendment unless noted in the Extension Agreement or/and subject to mutual agreement to amend under OLRA.

COMPENSION Salary Increase: Total compensation 4.1% over 2 years

COMPENSION Wages, shift premiums 4% over 2 years Sept 1, 2017 - 1.5 %
Nov 1, % Sept 1, % Feb 1, % Aug 31, % The compounded Increase over 2 yrs. is 4.1%. November Lump sum of 0.5% is in recognition of potential professional development expenses, for yearly earnings 2016 – 2017. Me Too Clause in effect with this article.

BENEFITS Funding increase to $5,278 per FTE effective Sept. 1, 2017
Plus inflation increases Sept. 1, % funding to $5,278 per FTE Sept. 1, % funding to $ per FTE Me-Too Clause still in effect

Investment in System Priorities
Funding for educational assistant Other staff: custodian and maintenance Hiring new staff – CUPE allocated amount $31, per year and Local 1011 will get base on fte approximately $508,929.00 No later than may 15, 2017 the HDSB and local will meet to discuss the use of funds

Apprenticeship/professional development program
4.5 MILLION AVAILABLE provincially in to board and locals who submit joint application for apprenticeships under the ontario college of trades and/or professional development opportunities

Apprenticeship/professional development program
Purpose of the funds: Provide on the job training for employees as apprentices Provide current employees of the boards an opportunities to upgrade their skills

Apprenticeship/professional development program
joint committee of CTA, CUPE and CROWN will be created to develop the application process. Thus, these funds are not limited to apprenticeships but can also be used for other PD needs

Community Use of Schools
New funding in the community use of schools will increase by 3% The funding's is to be used to staff schools with cupe custodians during the community use over and above current funding The local cupe1011 will receive $ 21, to used to staff schools
