In Utah our air pollution quality is a problem for the health of all the people living in Utah. It can cause major asthma problems, and is bad for the environment.

Nitrogen oxides
Sulfur oxides
Carbon monoxide
Lead
Microscopic particles that are called particulate matter.

The amount of damage these pollutants can cause are determine on 2 things.
Amount of time in pollutant
The pollutant the person is exposed to.
There are many different sources of pollutants.

Degreasing operations
Dry cleaners
Vehicles
Trains

6. Research Effects of Air Pollution
Causing lung damage
Cancer
Other serious health problems
Children and the elderly are more susceptible to air pollution than others and can suffer the effects at lower pollution levels.

7. Call To Action Reduce the amount of air pollution in the air
Public transportation
Different energy source, besides burning fossils fuels
Carpooling
