BSR Star Dust The overall objective of the StarDust project is to force transnational collaboration linking strong research environments, clusters and SME networks – creating a number of globally-leading research and innovation hubs in the BSR

The project’s core are the 5 transnational pilots operating in fields of cleantech & future energy, wellbeing & health, future transport, and digital business & services.

Strategic Idea “MarChain” idea is to develop a virtual communication and cooperation environment for business, knowledge and competences by connecting the national maritime transport clusters into united communication and business support structure.

Project structure WP1 Cluster development Activities:
National marine competence and technological capacity study development; Identification of operators for national marine clusters; Regional marine competence and capacity study development. WP2 Communication and cooperation environment-communication system International cooperation and communication strategy for marine cluster integration; ICT based networking tool technical conditions; ICT tool development. WP3 Cooperation through competence building Training program development; Training program implementation.

Key activities to develop and integrate national maritime clusters in to the unite BSR communication and cooperation system – “MarChain” to investigate technological and production capacities to establish an innovative ICT-based tool to transfer technology and business knowledge to implement international competence building program

Why BSR ? Global growth potential of the area Project activities are focused on a better quality and cost efficiency of the marine products developed in the BSR, connecting the R&D based ideas in Germany, Sweden, Denmark, etc. to the production capacities in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, etc
