We Have a Problem…
3
Problem: Under-Resourced Clinics in Underserved Communities
Clinics are under-resourced and understaffed. Clinics are crowded with patients, oftentimes more than the clinic can handle. Patients experience severely long wait times in clinic. Doctors are under-resourced and overworked. Primary care physicians barely have 15 minutes to meet with the patients. More than half of the patients leave their primary care visits not understanding what the doctor has told them.

Patient Wait Times: Limited Resources Lead to Inefficiencies in Patient Flow
6
Where is this happening? Clinic: Olive View-UCLA Medical Center
OVMC is a public LA County hospital. Not a private hospital like RRMC. Olive View serves as the safety net to provide essential medical care to underserved communities in LA.
7
Additional Clinics: Mid-Valley Comprehensive Health Center Harbor-UCLA Medical Center
MVCHC and HMC are both additional public LA County hospitals that serve patients from underprivileged communities.
