Donna Vandiver, President & CEO More than 30 years of experience for clients in a variety of industries with annual sales from $.5 million to $50 billion.  Before founding TVG in 1993, Donna was director of public relations for Monsanto Company, where she was responsible for corporate image and reputation management, issues management, employee communications and media relations for this $8 billion global company. Her specialties include strategic counsel, corporate reputation, issues management, public relations and crisis communications.

Laura has also managed a number of strategic initiatives focused on communication and implementation for national health care organizations, and has extensive experience working with physicians and care teams. 17 Case Studies-Centene Background: Centene asked TVG to conduct a social media audit to learn about the efforts underway at each health plan and specialty company, with the goal of improving their overall social media strategy and integration. Audience: Internal marketing and communications staff, and staff from community relations and outreach, sales and marketing, business development, government relations and business integration. Objectives: To assess the internal and external perceptions of social media use by Centene. The goal of the audit was to develop social media strategy, policies and guidelines to create a more consistent, effective social media presence across various channels. Outcome: TVG presented recommendations at a leadership planning/strategy session that are now being implemented by the company. TVG is assisting in that effort.

18 Case Studies-Express Scripts
Background: Express Scripts Inc. (ESI) asked TVG to conduct a brand equity study of several potential product names to determine which name had the most positive equity. Audience: Various ESI stakeholders, including clients, patients, doctors, health care workers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and their internal leadership team. Objectives: Using a mixed-method research approach, TVG conducted studies with each of the stakeholder audiences to determine the equity of each name, and provided ESI with final name recommendations and key communication messages. Outcome: TVG queried each stakeholder group and conducted online surveys, phone surveys and in-depth interviews with all stakeholder groups and presented the findings to the company, resulting in implementation of TVG’s recommendations.

Background: Mississippi Lime Company (MLC) consulted The Vandiver Group, Inc. (TVG) to provide training on employee leadership, employee communication, media training, and spokesperson training. Audience: Mississippi Lime employees across all levels Objectives: TVG worked with MLC to provide a variety of employee training courses, all centered around more effective communication with both internal and external audiences. Outcome: TVG created key messages and trained spokespeople and employees. We conducted media training to ensure the correct spokespeople were delivering the right messages. We trained employees on best practices for communicating internally and how communication plays a role in effective leadership.
