Perform touch typing by keying words, sentences, and paragraphs (ongoing). Recognize key terms related to graphics, tabs and tables--Mon Use tabs correctly-setting and moving tabs---Tues. I-READY DIAG. READING TEST—WED. MORNING-HOMEROOM. Using and inserting tables in a document.—Wed. I-READY DIAG. MATH TEST—THURS. MORNING-HOMEROOM.-Thurs. Demonstrate their strengths and weaknesses on creating graphics in various documents with 80% accuracy. Fri. Today, my students will be able to: Chapter 2

Pre Bell -Edu Typing—Students will complete two time writings each day--- The Evolution of Mobile Devices—6 Mins. Students will work on I-Ready – Reading Lessons –Mon-Wed. 10 Minutes each day. The teacher will introduce lesson and give the purpose.—Graphic Vocabulary Concepts Teacher will explain the Frayer Model on Vocabulary Strategy on vocabulary words on Ch. 6. Students in pairs will be given a key word to complete Frayer Diagram and share with the class Have students to complete key terms in Ch. 6 on pages by looking up the 10 definitions of each key terms by google it (Advance students) and allow students to write notes --summary from Ch. 6 Handout & PowerPoint notes. (Ch. 6 Vocabulary Test on this Friday.) (Whole Group Activity) The teacher will review Graphic lesson from Chapter 5 pages Practice Projects and Cooperative Buddy Project.-Remediation Lesson for Remedial Students Chapter 2

Pre Bell -Edu Typing—Students will complete two time writings each day--- The Evolution of Mobile Devices—6 Mins. Students will work on I-Ready – Reading Lessons –Mon-Wed. 10 Minutes each day. The teacher will introduce Lesson 6-1 Tabs The students will review key terms’ definitions on Ch. 6 page 110 and 115, if not completed. (Whole Group) Have student to view video on Setting Tabs and Creating Tables -Google Have student’s complete activities in WP text pages (Whole Group) Have advance students to complete Enrichment Activity: Now You Try It on page 115. Have Remedial students continue lessons The students will continue Practice Library Lessons 2-5 in Edu Typing. Independent Activities—Differentiated Instructions Closure Activities: Students will complete Exit Ticket Question in Canvas or index cards and students will post their response and share response. Homework: Create sentences with Ch. 6 Terms—five sentences due Fri. Chapter 2

Total Students will work on I-Ready – Diagnostic Test.- Reading In their Homeroom.—Grade 7th Teacher will review key terms in Chapter 6 in Word Processing with students Teacher will introduce and demonstrate how to insert tables in a document in Lesson See Ch. 6 Power Point Students will complete pages outlined in the text.—Whole Group Activity Have advance students to complete Enrichment Activity: Now You Try It on page 118. Have Remedial students continue lessons for Remedial Students/Special Education-Accommodation The students will continue Practice Library Lessons 2-5 in Edu Typing. Independent Activities— Differentiated Instructions The Advance Students will continue their Edu Typing on Unit 2 Numeric This is Differentiated Instruction Activity Wrap up with a review. Total Students will work on I-Ready – Diagnostic Test.-Math In their Homeroom Grade 7th The teacher will review concepts and skills on Ch. 6 Tab and Tables in text and check homework and give the purpose of this lesson. (Use PowerPoint Ch. 6) The students will complete the 10 review questions on pages and complete computer –Practice Project on pages —Whole Group Activity After students complete Ch. 6 review, students will continue working on Integration Skills on Language Arts and Math Skills Practice Projects: Continue keyboarding lesson for remediation. The students will continue Practice Library Lessons 2-5 in Edu Typing. Independent Activities- Wrap up with a review. See Exit Ticket. Chapter 2

Total Students will work on I-Ready – Math Lessons –Friday-- 10 Minutes Teacher will administer Ch. 6 Test Tabs and Tables –Open Book/Notebook. Students will complete Post Test Ch. 6 on Canvas and turn in for evaluation. Students will work on Integration Activities-Language Art & Math Skills after test if not completed on Thursday –Advance Groups. 10 Creating a Tab Tabs are set every one-half inch across the screen.
Tabs are displayed in ruler at the top of screen. Left tabs are indicated by a black capital L. Chapter 6 Spotlight on Word Processing

11 Changing the Tab Settings
Click the tab marker and drag it off the ruler to delete it. Click and drag the tab marker to move it. Double-click the tab marker to change the settings. Leaders can be added between tabs to guide the reader. Chapter 6 Spotlight on Word Processing

12 Entering Text Press Tab to move to the next tab setting.
Leaders will display when you press Tab. Chapter 6 Spotlight on Word Processing

13 Sorting the Text Select list of text.
Click the Sort button on the Home Ribbon. Two sorting choices: ascending (A-Z) and descending (Z-A). Chapter 6 Spotlight on Word Processing

14 Finishing Steps Spell check. Add a header. Save the file. Print.

15 Inserting a Table A table is a grid containing many boxes called cells. Click the Table button on the Insert Ribbon. Click and drag to determine the size of the table. Columns are groups of vertical cells. Rows are groups of horizontal cells. Chapter 6 Spotlight on Word Processing

16 Merging Cells Merging cells removes the cells walls. Select the row.
Click the Table Tools-Layout tab. Click the Merge Cells button. Chapter 6 Spotlight on Word Processing

17 Entering Text Each cell can be formatted differently.
Move from cell to cell by pressing Tab. Press Shift and Tab to move back a cell. The first letter of each word in a cell will automatically capitalize. Chapter 6 Spotlight on Word Processing

18 Adding Another Row Press Tab in the last cell of the table to insert another row. Extra rows can be deleted by clicking the Delete button on the Table Tools-Layout Ribbon. Chapter 6 Spotlight on Word Processing

19 Shading Cells Click anywhere in the cell.
Click the Shading button on the Table Tools- Design Ribbon. Click More Colors for more choices. Chapter 6 Spotlight on Word Processing

21 Summary Tabs are used to align text.
Text can be aligned left, right, center, or by the decimal point using tabs. Tabs are set automatically every one-half inch across the page. Dot leaders can be added to tabs to help visually tie the information together on a line. Text can be sorted in ascending or descending order. Tables are an easy way to organize related information. Individual cells of a table can be formatted differently. The cells of a table or the entire table can be shaded in with color. Chapter 6 Spotlight on Word Processing
