3 Goals of the Report Card Committee
Develop an up-to-date, standards based report card for all Millbrae School District Elementary schools, with the same format across grade levels, grades K-5 Use an electronic report card that is accessible from campus and home Include a drop down option in the comments area Have a first view available for teachers in May/June 2015 New report cards ready for implementation Fall 2015

4 How We Did Develop an up-to-date, standards based report card for all Millbrae School District Elementary schools, with the same format across grade levels, grades K-5 -Completed Use an electronic report card that is accessible from campus and home - Completed Include a drop down option in the comments area. -Competed Have a first view available for teachers in May/June Rolling Out to Teachers at the October 13 PD day New report cards ready for implementation Fall 2015 – Yes

5 Interim Steps Recently Completed
Draft Report Cards Presented to Trustees at September 15, 2015 Board Meeting, Obtained Feedback Admin Team Reviewed Report Cards at two meetings in September , Obtained Feedback Recommended Changes included: Keeping a number rating scale(rubric) for Fourth & Fifth Grade instead of moving to letter grades. Making the report cards a pilot year. Surveying parents and teachers on what is working and what works well in the spring. Adjusting and publishing a final version for year.

6 Synergy The prototype has been completed and ready for updates before being approved. Updates: Changing fourth and fifth grades to number scale from letter grades How it will work: Parents will be sent a letter advising them of their log in codes with directions on how to register to view student report cards. It is an opt in model. Report cards will still be printed and sent home by teacher. Attendance is automatically populated In the future, assessments, reading levels, will be included
