10 Resort info Prato Nevoso/Artesina
Both Prato Nevoso and Artesina are lovely villages with friendly atmospheres. They are safe and quiet but there are enough evening activities to keep school groups entertained all week. They are firm favourites with our groups, thanks to the excellent accommodation offering doorstep skiing, a friendly ski school and an extensive ski area which allows for quick progression. A quieter resort with a welcoming atmosphere, the improved links from Prato Nevoso to Artesina and Fabrosa Soprana have opened up the area which, when combined, form the extensive Mondole ski area making the ski pass even better value. Two new runs were recently added so all levels of skier can now access both sides of the circuit. A huge installation of state-of-the-art snow cannons now means 95% of the runs are covered by artificial snow-making capability, ensuring good snow conditions even in mild weather. Both Prato and Artesina have beginners slopes with minimal walking and easy runs both at village level and at altitude. For the 2016 season, Artesina will have a new covered magic carpet and improved beginner area. Progression here is excellent which means beginners can manage some lengthy blue and red runs before the end of the week. Intermediates have plenty of wide, long runs to enjoy, and for strong intermediates there are some tremendous reds, especially on the Artesina side. by Halsbury Travel

13 Hotel Marguareis

14 Accommodation Hotel Marguareis***
The 3* Hotel Marguareis provides comfortable and secure accommodation only metres from the main piste. It is modern with many areas refurbished in the last couple of years. Bedrooms are very comfortable and the dining room is presented in a traditional Italian style. There is a bar overlooking the slopes and a pleasant sunny terrace, as well as plenty of spacious communal areas, one of which can be converted to host a disco or mini-cinema room. They also have their own fantastic pizza restaurant! Location The convenient location of this hotel really can not be beaten. The nursery slopes and lifts are within metres of the front door with the ski school and ski hire located right next to the hotel. This allows for doorstep skiing, easy access at lunchtime and at the end of the day, and it also means that skis almost never need to be carried. Shops and a supermarket are all nearby. Additional après-ski activities are nearby in Prato Nevoso (15 minutes away by coach). by Halsbury Travel
