1. INTRODUCTION – main topic / clarify the thesis statement, hook the reader with a quote or question & elaborate on the reason you are writing and usefulness for the readers
2. BODY - elaborate on your thesis, cite relevant resources
- descriptive and explanatory paragraphs
- argument each paragraph
- write out the main idea for each body paragraph
3. CONCLUSION – summary of arguments & explanation of conclusions: restate, conclude & clincher
