2. Business Day was organised by the city administration on 8 September 2017 in “Villa Lenije” hotel in Vinkovci. The topic was Opportunities for Entrepreneurship Developement in Vinkovci.

3. Our students from grade eight were interested in learning about starting a business.
The conference started with a panel discussion about the possibilities for young people who want to start a business and use money from European funds.

4. The panelists were: - Ivan Bosančić, the Mayor of Vinkovci - Gabrijela Žalac, Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds in Croatian government - Vesna Kovač, Croatian Employment Service - Vedran Čuljak, Head of the Administrative Office for the Economy of Vinkovci - Vinka Ivanković, president of regional office of Croatian Chamber of Economy

5. Five young entrepreneurs from Vinkovci talked about starting a business and their activities.
Dejan Bešir started a company Betaware, in which he and his employees develop mobile applications, games and web pages. Their most successful application City Hub was bought by about 100 cities in 6 countries.

6. Vice Božić started his company GoAds in 2015
Vice Božić started his company GoAds in He specialized in digital marketing and his goals are to have clients worldwide, to build a team of experts and become a Google partner. For the time being, he has about 100 clients.

7. Ivan Vorgić started craft beer brewery Valens in 2016
Ivan Vorgić started craft beer brewery Valens in He can produce only about 2500 liters a month. His plans are to increase production and to start selling beer in bottles and cans, as Valens is now sold only as draught beer.

8. Lidija Ratkić was an unemployed teacher and she decided to found an association and start “Šareni boravak”. Primary schools in Vinkovci have no extended stay programme, so parents can bring their children who attend lower primary school to Šareni boravak. Here they will play, do their homework and learn new things under supervision of two teachers.

Lidija Ratkić started a language school in Vinkovci. It is a franchise of Helen Doron language school. Helen Doron has franchises in 35 countries. There are English language courses for children of different ages (3 months to 19 years old).
