The 2520 Switch Series is an addition to our 2500 family of switches. The 2520 brings PoE (Power Over Ethernet) in both Fast Ethernet and Gigabit versions to the 2500 family and complements our 2510 non-poe switch series.
The 2610 and 2910al Series offer a higher feature-set PoE switch for businesses which have more advanced networking needs.
The 2520 is ideal for SMB customers deploying VoIP, Wireless, or other converged applications on a small scale or as an edge switch providing PoE power in larger scale deployments.

The 2520 Series switch is offered in 4 models. An 8-port w/2 dual personality uplink ports and a 24 port in both fast ethernet and gigabit are available. The 24-port Fast ethernet model includes 4 Gigabit uplink ports, 2 of which can be used with SFP trancievers or with standard copper cabling. The 24-port Gigabit version has 4 SFP slots that can be used in place of 4 of the copper ports.
The 2520 switch series are design to be energy efficient and quiet for open space deployment. The 8-port models are fanless and the 24-port models have variable speed fans to optimize power and noise levels.
The 2520 switch supports up to 15.4W on any given port, but has a limited power budget of 67W and 195W on the 8 and 24-port models respectively. The power budget is enough to power class 2 PoE devices simultaneously on all ports.
