8 Helpful Terms and Definitions
Clear Path = the name of the online portal that gives you access to your Clear Path data; it’s also where students need to go to access the “survey” (assessment) School Admin = a designated school-level person who is responsible for creating assessment Access Keys and running school and student data reports Level 1 = elementary (3-5) Level 2 = secondary (6-12) Form A = baseline survey (assessment) Form B = post-survey (assessment)

9 When talking to student about the Assessment
Ensure you have the right testing environment set up so students take this seriously and answer questions to the best of their ability If they do not understand a word or phrase, define or explain it so they can best answer the questions Refer to the assessment as a “survey,” not a test Use phrases such as: “This is not a test…” “There are no right and wrong answers …” “You will not be graded….” “Answer each question honestly…” “If a question is confusing, let me know and I will explain it to you…”

21 How Students Access the Assessment in Clear Path™

22 Clear Path Assessment Details
Each student enters the following information: Student ID (two times) Site Access Key First and Last Name Gender Grade Level Ethnicity

23 The Importance of Student ID Numbers
Each student must enter a unique Student ID. This can be their district-assigned ID (sometimes called a “state ID”), or you can assign your own IDs. The Student ID must be numeric and 10 or fewer digits Each student must use the same Student ID for every resiliency assessment or they will not show gains data. Post-Assessment gains data can only be generated if a student has previously taken a Pre-Assessment TIP: When giving the Post-Assessment, use your Excel Report from the Pre-Assessment to identify which students have taken a Pre-Assessment and what ID they entered.

24 Tip: Prep Card for Post-Assessment
Resiliency Survey Information Student Name Access Key: SaMp13 Your Student ID: Class Number: 1

25 Class Number Field If you want to separate your data by Class, assign each class a unique Class Number (you can use any numbers 01-99) and have the teacher write the proper class number on the board when the students take the assessment. This will provide an additional breakdown of your data sets, and will allow your data to be viewed by “class” in the reports after students have tested. If you do not want to use unique Class numbers, have all students enter “1” or their grade.

26 Student Access: Step 2 Have students enter your site’s active Access Key (write it on the board or a prep card), and click on “Start Survey.”

27 Student Access: Step 3 3. Help students choose their language (Spanish or English only), enter their unique Student ID, and select “Next.” TIP: Students must enter a unique Student ID. This can be their district-assigned ID (sometimes called a “lunch number”), or you can assign your own IDs.

28 Student Access: Step 4 Have students enter their first and last name, and then select “Next.” TIP: Having students enter their names will make it easier for you to identify students when reviewing the data reports. These fields are optional.

29 Student Access: Step 5 Have Students enter their Class Number, Race/Ethnicity, and Gender. Then have them select “Next.” TIP: If you want to separate your data by Class, assign each class a unique Class Number (you can use any numbers 01-99) and have the teacher write the proper class number on the board when the students take the assessment. If you do not want to use unique Class numbers, have all students enter “1.”

30 Student Access: Step 6 Students will then begin the survey!
TIP: If you need to purchase more assessment licenses contact your ScholarCentric sales rep or call (800)
