James 4:1-6 Recap: What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Our internal struggle leads to external struggles resulting in quarrels and fights. Outline: The Cause: Our sinful desires (4:1-3) Uncontrolled desires (4:1) Unmet desires (4:2) Ungodly desires (4:3) The Verdict: We have committed spiritual adultery (4:4-5) The Solution: Grace through humility (4:6) You can be a friend of the world or you can be a friend of God. You cannot be both. Choose your friends carefully.

Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9Be wretched and mourn and weep.
