Learning Objectives After participating in this symposium, the provider will be able to: Discuss real-world implications of new data on proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) inhibitors Explain the effect of PCSK9 inhibition in specific clinical scenarios (eg, diabetes, familial hypercholesterolemia, statin intolerance) Identify patients who may benefit from the use of nonstatin therapies, including PCSK9 inhibitors ― either as monotherapy or in combination with a statin ― in order to optimally reduce the risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) Evaluate lipid management treatment plans to reduce ASCVD risk in patients at particularly high risk Discuss strategies to improve the knowledge, skills or performance of the healthcare team

Unmet Needs of Persons with Elevated LDL-C
