Café – go directly to cafeteria for 7:30-35 AM 6th Grade in the Café until 7:48 AM 7th Grade in the gym after breakfast 8th Grade in the courtyard after breakfast First Bell 7:48 AM – go directly to your first period class Tardy Bell 7:50 AM - No waiting on friends to arrive. Do your best by entering and exiting in an orderly fashion, raising your hand for permission to leave your seat. Do what’s right by honoring boundaries at all times. Keep hands, feet and other objects to yourself. Use appropriate language. Do what’s right by showing up on-time and by entering the classroom in an orderly manner. Do what’s right by working hard and the putting forth you best effort. Be a role model by raising your hand for permission to move, keeping your area clean, and setting a good example for others. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Choose kindness by helping others and remembering we are a team. Choose Kind!

14 classroom expectations
Be prompt Be ready to learn when class begins. Be prepared Have materials with you and know due dates. Be a polite and positive participant Speak in a normal tone of voice, and listen attentively. Be productive Turn in work on time, and always do your best. Be a problem solver Correct problems quickly and peacefully. Choose Kind!

If you can hear my voice clap once. If you can hear my voice clap twice. Students: Stop whatever you are doing at that moment. Face the teacher and wait silently. Notify any classmates who haven’t noticed that their attention is needed. All of your attention should be given to the teacher. Choose Kind!

17 Choose Kind! ENTRANCE Enter the classroom quietly.
Go directly to your seat. Make sure you have all necessary materials for the your project. Choose Kind!

18 Choose Kind! CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
Cell phones are only “out” if the teacher gives express permission, and if it is used for a learning activity like “Cahoots”. If you are asked to help, be polite and kind offering your best. Use your “INSIDE” voice when talking. Respect each other and be friendly. Choose Kind!

19 If you need to use the restroom…
You may only use the restroom during the first and last five minutes of class You only have two passes per nine weeks Please raise a “one” in the air and I will allow you to go. Make sure that you sign out and sign back in when you return. Only one student out at the time. Choose Kind!

20 If you need to get a drink of water
Two passes per nine weeks You may only get a drink of water during the first and last five minutes of class Raise a “two” and I will allow you to go If you need to get a drink of water

21 Choose Kind! Show Respect
Value yourself. Be honest and ethical, and practice strong moral values. Treat all members of the school community and all visitors with politeness and respect. Honor the ideas and opinions of others Offer to help. Be responsible with property and belongings. Choose Kind!

22 Behavioral CONSEQUENCES
Verbal Warning Verbal reminder, loss of privilege, and behavior Classroom Management Report. Time out and parent/guardian called conference requested Referral to Administration Choose Kind!

23 Exit Slip Answer the following questions on your own sheet of paper
How many bathroom passes do you get per nine weeks? How do you ask to go to the bathroom? And how do you ask to get a drink of water? How many chances do you get with negative behavior before you will receive a referral? How do you ask to sharpen your pencil, get paper, get a tissue, etc. Exit Slip
