2. Viper Family - Introduction
The Viper family of recorders includes a wide range of options, covering both IP and Hybrid analogue.
These all operate on a common platform and user interface, allowing the installer to offer their customers a seamless single system to cover both video formats.
The Viper Virtual Matrix can be used to “tie” together multiple recorders, providing a very intuitive and cost effective single point of control and mirror recording.

Viper Family – Warp Function
This allows a Master Viper unit to take control, via the network, of a remote unit
The monitor screen of the remote unit is displayed on the monitor screen of the Master unit
Control of ‘Live’, ‘PTZ’, ‘Playback’ and ‘Set up’ is available
Single monitor for multiple recorders!

10. Viper Family – Thumbnail Search
The thumbnail search function allows still images of a camera to be sequentially displayed on screen with a user definable time period between each.
This allows the operator to look for changes within the image e.g. car present/not present.
Alternatively, once the still images are displayed, the ‘Time Lapse’ button can be pressed. This plays forward each segment in time lapse mode, allowing a large amount of data to be reviewed very quickly!

11. Viper Family – Smart Search
Smart search allows for retrospective motion detection - the searching of motion events within user definable areas.
The Smart search function is very simple. Select the relevant camera, draw a box around the required area and select an hour long time segment to analyse.
Next click ‘Search’. Any motion events detected will be displayed in a list. Selecting an item within the list will produce a still frame. When the required still is chosen, simply click ‘Play’.
